The last few weeks there has been a lot of spirit activity at the store. It seems as we get closer to the fall the more things seem to happen. Then again, when the weather is a little wierd were even more enlightend with such antics. We have recieved a lot of rain this month and with the high humidity on non rainy days its getting unbareable. What does that have to do with spirits? Its easier for there energy to manifest and scare the dickens out of ya! :P

On with the antics: Seems as one of many spirits like to play...they are hiding my notepads and pens. I can sit one down and turn my back for a matter of 2-3 minutes and go back to get it and its gone!! I replaced in ONE day FIVE notepads. My mother has had petty cash come up 60 dollars short and count it 3 times. Within the next few days it shows back up as mysteriously as it came missing. Now, this is a family business and theres only one other non- family member that works there now. She doesnt mess with office things. My mother doesnt worry with shortages because they seem to reappear...lol..this happens A LOT! One saturday night a 80.00 check was paid to the store for gasoline..It was run through the checktron for a clearance number..the number is written on the check and placed under the drawer. She went to set the alarm at closing and laying on top of the trash by the front door was THAT check! Layed open right on top of the trash! She knew it was placed in the register and right on the check was the clearance number. *go figure*

We moved the "old timers" domino table back to the original spot that they used to play way back..Im expecting some cigar smells to start creeping back into the store...LOL...we still have domino games everyday with the guys that are still alive but you know that spirits come back to the place they call home. :P

I have witnessed lately things flying right off the shelves...doors opening and closing and little girls playing and running through the store giggling like it was the best day ever. The one thing that has not happened and does atleast twice a year is a knife being thrown that we used to keep wedged behind the sink. We do not do this now and it has me wandering where the knife is going to be thrown this year..LOL...Its freaky to watch such antics and when you have customers that witness such things its even funnier. I then explain how the store is haunted....

KatScan 8/25/2004 6:07:00 PM BeeBop, its more for attention..I dont think its meant as being harmful...I have been within a few feet of it but its more breath taking than anything. These are things I have grown up with all my life so its not unusual for me to see such things. :)

Thats pretty amazing..my cousins house used to be haunted..there was this one certain ghost that always used to smell like cherry cigars.
