Ouija board addiction |
Hi everyone Im new, i just wondered if anyone else feels drawn to ouija boards. Since i first heard about ouija boards ive been really intrested in them, i always used to love anything to do with ghosts and when i first heard of ouija boards i was like wow!
The first time I heard of ouija boards was when my mom told me her experience when she was a teenager.My moms friend had a ouija board and when they were young her friend used to bring it to the shop where they worked, and when they were on there lunch break they used to try it out. They asked questions like who would they marry, how old they would be etc. Anyway my moms friend lent it to her the once and mom took it home. They never really thought anything of it other then that it was just an intresting game.
But later that night my Nan woke up in the middle of the night and saw a figure standing over her bed, which was really creepy, so my mom gave it back to her friend after that. Needless to say her friend chucked it out not long after because her dad would be sitting in the room with the board alone, but he felt like someone else was there watching him. They put it down to the ouija board since it was around the time in the 70s where ouija boards had had bad press and other people had experienced strange things after using them.
After being told this i was intrested in ouija boards even more! who was pushing the pointer? was it my nans imagination about the figure? or was there really something else at work? I do believe there was something else at work because later on when i read up on ouija boards and tips on there use, it always tells you to say goodbye after using a ouija board which my mom and her friend never did! Which made me wonder if thats the reason people felt like someone was there watching because they never closed the board up and said goodbye.
Anyway time went on and when i was about 15 i really wanted to try a ouija board. I read up on the subject on the internet and read good and bad stories about ouija boards and came to the conclusion that id have to try it myself to see what i thought. So i plucked up the courage to buy a board and the first one i brought was the psychic circle. It would'nt move the first few times i had a go on it but after about the third time of trying it would point to symbols and spell out answers to questions. It really intrested me but i always wondered if it was really me and my friends pushing the pointer or if we where talking to something supernatural, so me and my friends asked the board questions we didnt know about each other and the answers turned out right! Not long after it gave us the creeps so i chucked it away.
About a year later i was with one of my friends and the subject of ouija boards came up again, and i again became really intrested in them and this time brought a parker brothers ouija board. Me and my friend were addicted for weeks. It never worked with me on my own but when i was with my friend it always worked, and as time went on the the board would spell things out faster and it started spelling out sentences. We used it daily at one point, but after a while it scared us, and the worst experience i can remember was when the board stared swearing at us pointing out swear words. We had quite a few experiences which i will get round to posting soon. Anyway after that we left it alone and i put the boards away.
Again months passed and then i saw them in the closet and again became intrested in them, however this time i read up on all the safty precautions, and how to use one properly. I still use the ouija now and again but i do believe it is NOT a game and should be used with caution. I now always open and close the ouija with a prayer. I also think its something that should'nt be played all the time like me and my friend did because it plays on your mind. Does anyone else feel addicted to ouija boards? I would love to hear what you guys think, and hear your experiences. Thanks for your time. |

Ouija boards are NOT a game. What comes forward to "talk" to you are not spirits from deceased people, but deceiving demons. I had a bad experience too when I was young and I played with it. Ever since, I have never touched one, or even looked at one. Be careful. |

she is right.. Satan and his demons are always out to trick us, and find a open oppertunity to get to us. well.. right there.. ur just giving them a oppertunity. Be careful.. I would chuck the thing out. and ask God for forgivness, and cast out any evil spirit that has been released from that board to your life. Seriously.. your actually breaking God's law by using that.. recieving information from familiar spirits.... |

I have wrote several stories with my ouija experiences. There were times when I wanted to keep playing. I've always been interested, still am, with the paranormal stuff. I haven't touched the board in a long while though. I have never been able to play on my own and which I would never do. I have read a bunch of information over the interenet and books about Ouija boards before playing them. I do believe that it's not a game and sometimes it can be dangerous. |

I remember the last few times when my friend and I played with the board, we would always get the same spirit. Perhaps he lived in the board? Who knew. But even if we played with other board, we would get this same spirit. It called itself named Max long with other 6 names with 3 letters only. It got kind of boring talking to that spirit over and over again...lol |

Hi Thanks for you comments guys. Sweet Puerto rican and christian soldier onward, i dont believe that ouija boards are evil as such but i do believe they can be dangerous, thankyou for your advice tho, i will take it into consideration. Punk star chick, yes ive had the same thing happen where the same spirit always comes through, and i can never get it to work alone which i dont think id want to do it alone anyway. When you feel an addiction to the ouija board, that is the eveil int eh board pulling you towards it. i wouldn't have believed this years ago, but soemone very close to me got addicted. She played it all the time.it is evil whether you want to believe that or not. it completely changed her to the point where she was hospitalized briefly and this was a sane woman! No past history of any mental illness. A few days away from the ouija and me making my sister get rid of it, she went back to normal. But there is still a bit of it with her. she is very susceptible to these forces now and it scares her. |

Hi authorid 10391, thankyou for your reply your post has made me think alot, i do feel addicted to the ouija sometimes but find when i think about it to much it scares me.
